Please check your diaries and come along to our First Event for 2008 - Get your Healey out the garage - warm her up and be there. This will be an informative and useful day - We can all learn something from an informal technical and open discussion day at Rawles. Your attendance is requested. Places are limited and will be allocated on "a first pass the post basis " - so sign up now!!

 

Arrive around 09:30 hours for coffee/tea
 
Technical/Maintenance
Basic annual Maintenance Summary/ Define
Show/Discuss - Timing - Valve and Spark ( Engine and Electrics )
Carburettor Settings and Basics of Tuning
Q and A time e.g.

1) Discuss intermittent overdrive faults
2) How to assess when the suspension should be overhauled
If time permits - lift one car up for assessment / comment 


Lunch

Restoration Session 2
Getting the Hood to fit better - what is involved in replacing a new Hood/Tonneau/ Back Cover
How to best protect and maintain the car's paintwork
Rechroming or can old chrome surfaces be improved/rebuffed?
Upholstery / Protection of internal trim / seats
Protection of rubber seals - doors and windscreen.

Closing remarks - around
