Sunday 17th May 2009.

The planned Social Gathering for lunch, refreshments (first one paid for by your committee) and much nattering occurred today at The Shire Horse at Littlewick Green. The weather was not too kind and some of the Healeys, that had hoped to stretch their legs today, were told that they were to stay at home so that their delicate parts did not get all wet.

The gathering was very pleasant and members and families, who attended, looked after their lunch and thirst requirements together with enthusiasm and much talk. The Club's future 50th 3000 Anniversary Events were discussed, and your Committee members pushed hard on all attendees to support your Thames Valley Anniversary Event planned for 13th September - taking in 7 Thames bridges, a Thames boat cruise, fine lunch and much fun / jazz band /quiz / prizes. The last member left the pub at 3pm and those that came had a pleasant lunch time session !!

Attendees were :-

Mr and Mrs Simon Price (with ideas for breakfast gathering before Goodwood) and their son - soon to be a famous golf star at Wentworth.

Mr and Mrs John Lane with enthusiasm for more events.

Mr Richard Kidson with stories of Windsor, Prince Phillip and the fact that his rebuilt 3000 is to be MOTed this week - good luck.

Mr and Mrs Nick Crocker doing a sterling job as hosts and much discussion on hill climbing.

Mr and Mrs Dennis Horner + Master Jack and Oscar ( the most friendly dog that the pub did not want to join in).

Mr Brian White as ever doing a good job in paying the bill.
