The planned Social Gathering
for lunch, refreshments (first one paid for by your committee) and much
nattering occurred today at The Shire Horse at Littlewick
Green. The weather was not too kind and some of the Healeys,
that had hoped to stretch their legs today, were told that they were to stay at
home so that their delicate parts did not get all wet.
The gathering was very
pleasant and members and families, who attended, looked after their lunch and
thirst requirements together with enthusiasm and much talk. The Club's future
50th 3000 Anniversary Events were discussed, and your Committee members pushed
hard on all attendees to support your Thames Valley Anniversary Event planned
for 13th September - taking in 7 Thames bridges, a Thames boat cruise, fine lunch
and much fun / jazz band /quiz / prizes. The last member left the pub at
